Here is my finished product, we had an assignment to create columns however when we had the finished design of the column we decided to create a colosseum, we had to gather a basic concept of what a colosseum looked like so i searched online to find a perfect match, it gave me a few images but the more i researched the more it gave mea basic concept of what to look for, the colosseum are completely mathematically designed to look symmetrical and to look prestiges.

i stared with the primative shape the cube then by making it editable i was able to extrude the top and sides of the cube to make it a flat slate to be used as the base of our pillar.
Then using the same piece of slate i copied and pasted it but using the scale tool i made it a smaller sat then placing it on top of my bigger slate.
Using a second null object (cylinder) and making it editable again i first changed its width so it would join with in place of one of the slates. Then editing its parameters in my editing window giving it more faces i was able to edit so it has this ridged column effect.
Next i took our bottom slates simply pasted them i later moved them into a position above the column them using my rotation tool i flipped it 180 degrees so it would be upside down thus making the pillar complete.
I then began to add lights to my pillar just to see what shadows i could cast with the pillar and to make it more appealing.

I then began to copy this pillar multiple times as i saw a similar structure in greek picture to copy it i grouped my objects into once and then pasted my pillar multiple times.
I then used a marble texture on my pillars and floor which i found in the materials folder in cinema 4D.

here are my finished pillars.
